Flemish black metal has always pleased my demented ears and Pox do so too. New Era now is releasing a 7” from these guys. On ‘Door De Holder Verrezen’ these Belgians attack the listener with filthy and raw black metal. The primitive noise of these gents is pitch black and possessed. The mid–tempo title track sounds like a pack of wolves slowly moving in on their prey, led by the barked vocals. Side B starts of slower, but has some blast bursts. The riffs are delightfully old school and would fit nicely on old Bathory albums. A short, but powerful release by Pox.
